I get to see a lot of really good sci-fi short films here at GeekD, but every once in a while one comes across my feed reader that is just a cut above the rest. In this case, THE LANDING by director Josh Tanner and Perception Pictures is one of those short films.
The short synopsis for the film from its Vimeo page is pretty succinct:
A man returns to the Midwestern farm of his childhood on a desperate mission to unearth the horrifying truth of what landed there in the summer of 1960
However, don’t let that brevity stop you from watching what I think is one of the best sci-fi films for 2014. From the writing to the acting and from the production value to the VFX Tanner and team have done a great job.
