It’s wonderful to be here and I’m excited to talk about games with you. My first post to Cranky Gamers will be an introduction piece so that you can get to know me a bit better.
As a gamer, I enjoy games probably as much as you do and I also enjoy creating artwork, game props, and writing. My favorite games currently are Killing Floor 2 (PC) and Final Fantasy Record Keeper (Mobile).
I am 26 years old and I live in Northern California. Having grown up on the east coast, born in Philadelphia and graduated in New Jersey, I jumped a train after meeting my boyfriend, October, on Iwakuroleplay.com, which I am a current staff member on. Our love for reading and writing spawned a love story of our own and I soon found myself with a one way train ticket across the country. Two years have passed so quickly and my love of California and October continues to grow everyday.
I am also a Streamer on twitch, often playing Minecraft or old-school SNES games while waiting to build a gaming machine of my own. Slowly, but surely, between generous donations and frugal saving, I am inching my way closer to that dream.
Playing and streaming on a first generation Surface Pro, while impressive, eats away at my patience and often causes many technical difficulties when you only have a 10 inch screen to work with. Everyday I get a little closer and I am so grateful for all the support Cranky Gamers, DizzyDizasters team, and my Twitch followers have shown me.
In September, I head to San Fransisco for TwitchCon and get to see just what the streaming community has to offer. I hope to learn and meet a lot of people there and hopefully work up the courage for my first cos-play! It’s really exciting and I hope to share the experience with as many of you as possible.
A few months ago I was sitting in bed feeling down about my stream, the lack of equipment I had, and just all around dissheartened by skeevie trolls on the internet. Sifting through streams to watch on my phone I came across Late Night with Cranky and Friends and instantly feel in love with the show.
Since that day, my social circle has grown, and I have more support than I ever imagined. I am having fun and doing exactly what I want to do with my life, and I’m not sure I would have made it without Cranky.
Mostly, I create artwork on commission and stream as much as possible. I’ve just started up my own YouTube channel, really got into video editing and finding my voice has been a journey, but a productive and happy one. I hope you enjoyed this little insight into who I am and what I do, and I hope you see you around on Cranky Gamers. Game on!
